I have hunted with Peet for years, Plains Game and the Big Five, he knows how to make it happen with flair. He is very serious about getting you in the right area to tackle the game you want to have hanging in your trophy room. He is a funny and witty fellow with lots of tales around the campfire that will make you cry with laughter. The accommodations and food is the best there is while you are in camp.

I have also have bow hunted with Peet and he is a professional archer with some awesome trophies he has killed with a bow. He is very organized and has a plan that will make your safari run smoothly. He has a doctor on staff, his Uncle, if you have medical needs while you are there on safari. I have to say don’t let Peet video your hunt, let him concentrate on his guide duties, his hands and knees got a little shaky when all he had was a video camera when my lion charged and landed at 3 steps from the end of my rifle. All kidding aside, he trusted me to finish my lion myself. I can’t say that any other PH would have let their client stay in for the charge without shooting but I told him that I wanted all the shots and he trusted me to finish my dream of taking a massive lion.

I have to say that his pricing is better than fair. I have talked to him about how he is able to have the best pricing for some of the most sought after trophies in the world of big game hunting. "Afrika Hunt Safaris is a great getaway if your husband is a hunter like mine. PH Peet Venter is so hospitable. His staff are very pleasant and helpful which makes me feel at ease in the wild jungle of Africa. Peet allowed me to shoot a giraffe that I have always wanted to shoot. Now this hunt wasn’t a walk in the park. We drove and stalked for hours to get a shot at an older baron cow. Now most of my husband buddies have a zebra rug so I wanted to one up them by getting a giraffe rug. I didn’t realize how big those animals are. The rug stretches from my front door into my dining room and into my living room. Peet made it happen. He was able to get trackers to scout the areas that made my Safari physically manageable because I am not a hiker. And I was not about to walk for days or sit in a hut all day waiting for my trophy.

Peet's wife Katherine is a great friend who makes our Safari's a real treat. We pass the time chit chatting and drinking great African Wine while the men are out hunting feverishly to bring home the bacon. I prefer to stay behind when my husband hunts dangerous game because he shish’s me too much when he is on a major stalk. I never thought Africa could be so much fun! I cannot wait for our next Safari with Afrikan Safaris."

For anyone thinking of hunting with Frederik of Afrika Hunt safaris, don't think about it, just do it. Last year I hunted with Frederik finding him to be very professional and the best judge of game on the hoof I know, plus he has eyes like a hawk.

My paperwork was a breeze seeing as Frederik did most of it for me and picked me up and took me through at the airport. My time hunting with Frederik was one of the best times I have spent in the bush and I recommend Frederik very highly.
